| Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner (1955– ) is well-known for his scores for the films of Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Three Colours trilogy—Blue (1994), White (1994), and Red (1994)—which have brought him international acclaim. Preisner’s Requiem for My Friend [Requiem Dla Mojego Przyjalciela] is his first large-scale work and was written in memory of Kieslowski, who died in March of 1996. |
